January Student Spotlight: Danielle

Each month, I want to shout out one of my awesome students, and first up, it’s Danielle!

Danielle came to class with zero dance, gymnastics, or aerial experience—just a willingness and interest in trying something new. Fast forward to now, and she’s tackled pole, sling, silks, and Lyra, showing up with a positive attitude and pushing herself every time.

What makes her even more inspiring? She’s doing all of this while juggling work, mom life, and everything in between! Learning something totally new as an adult can feel intimidating, but she proves that if you stick with it, you’ll surprise yourself.

A few months ago, Danielle stepped on stage for the Blush Showcase and completely improvised her routine! That’s how naturally she flows through movement. It just goes to show—you don’t need a background in dance to be good at aerial. You just need the right mindset!

If you’ve ever thought, "I’d love to try aerial or pole, but I’m not flexible/strong/coordinated enough," let Danielle be your reminder that everyone starts somewhere. The key is just giving it a shot!
